This Brown color has been a standard color available in the Design A Horse program. It first appeared in 2009, and has been available each year since then. Only slight differences can be seen from year to year.
This Brown color and the Dark Bay Design A Horse colors can look similar, but typically, the brown color has chestnut coloring (brown points), and the Dark Bay would have black points, including the legs. Some of the colors look confusing with dark or black mane and tail with brown legs. Some of these photos may have been submitted incorrectly as the Standard Brown color.
