Dark Dapple Grey has been a special color available in the Design A Horse program. It first appeared in 2012 as a limited time offer. It was advertised as a dark dapple grey color that could be used on any of the available traditional size DAH models (no Chips or Pebbles), including choice of matte or glossy finish. No other options were available with this Special Edition. This design was offered with a light colored head, shaded mane and tail, lovely shading in the body and legs, and lots of those beautiful dapples. Each dapple pattern is unique, as these are hand painted.
The color was brought out again in 2013 and was available with any of the DAH patterns and markings. Starting in 2014 this color was available without the dapples (you had to order dapples separate).
