The Precious Stone Series consists of models that are designed to resemble a precious stone. This one resembles the Opal stone. Shading and hues of blues and pinks vary from very light to very dark. In 2005, this series of models were called Gem Stones.
The first four pictures were taken when Peter Stone was visiting a toy store in Denver, CO called Playnix. These were the prototypes for the run, and marked the first appearance of Stone Chips!
