The first (matte) version of Custer the cavalry horse is limited to 125 pieces. He is shaded grey with Cavalry brands on his left side. He is available through Happy Trails Collectibles. He made his debut at the "Celebration of the Horse" show on June 2nd, 2001. The event commemorated the 125 anniversary of Little Big Horn. Custer was one of the survivors taken by Indians and later acquired in trade by the Cavalry. The grey horse was named Custer because he came from Custer's unit and lived the rest of his life retired in honor. The second version of Custer is with a high gloss. He is shaded grey with no Cavalry brands. Limited to 250 pieces. Only 12 of the Judge's Models were produced - this horse is a high gloss WITH Cavalry brands. Both models were available exclusively through Happy Trails Collectibles.
