The Precious Stone Series consists of models that are designed to resemble a precious stone. This one resembles Turquoise. The Turquoise WPH was the 3rd in the Precious Stone Series, according to the 1999 product catalog. This model was produced Jan-June 1999, and the Turquoise Performance Horse (also considered 3rd in the series) was produced July-Dec 1999. Designed by Ed Gonzales, and painted by the Stone Factory painters. The white snip variation is estimated to be on 60 models.
The first batch, about 60 pieces, of the Turquoise WPH models turned out to be more teal blue than turquoise. Later batches are darker blue with black shading. Unknown if any of these pieces had the white snip variation.
