Per Equilith Spring 2000: "Created exclusively for the Internet online community Haynet, Gigabyte was a result of Haynet subscriber's votes on mold and color preference. Distributed in January by P.S. Cord & Company, a total of 575 were produced in dark grulla with creamy undertones and a glossy coat." Designed by Jennifer Timm (now Al-Beik).
There was a Weanling created later as a daughter to Gigabyte called Kilobyte.
